Charming unique little hotel in Sayulita

Stayed one night to sneak in some surfing before returning to the USA. While Sayulita is a bit too “done” for my taste, Hafa was a perfect touchdown between surf sessions. They include a mini fridge, helpful for leftovers from huge Mexican meals.

My boyfriend and I were in town for a family wedding, and Petit Hotel d’Hafa was listed as a recommended place to stay. We were in town for 7 days, and we stayed in room 6. The room was conducive. The atmosphere was very authentic and colorful.

Keep in mind, room 6 does not have AC. We knew this ahead of time, so we knew what we were in for. Friendly staff that recommended me an ascension bay fly fishing trip near Cozumel! They helped us get transportation to and from the airport. Enjoyed the rooftop at night. Very peaceful and beautiful.

My friends and I stayed here for 4 days, and it was a dream! Sayulita was magical and enchanting, but this hotel was indeed the highlight of our stay. It’s located right in the heart of Sayulita, walking distance to everything in town and just a short walk to the beach. It’s also helpful that the hotel is bright red, making it impossible to get lost, even after the bars and all the tequila we consumed.

The staff was lovely, comfortable going, and gave the most perfect recommendations. Gabrielle also made the booking process extremely easy and convenient. As you can tell by all the photos, the design and decor are beautiful but our favorite: the rooftop! It really doesn’t get better than laying on a beautiful roof after exploring the city with good people, a guitar and (free!) tequila.

I really can’t stress enough how romantic this hotel is! I hope to go back many times in the future.

Thank you, Hotel Hafa, for a truly magical stay. PRO TIP: The Hafa bar makes the BEST margaritas in town. It’s also the best bar in the city. Start and end every night there, you will be glad you did!
