Awesome outdoor huge outdoor living space with views

We’ve stayed in many villas at Villa Amor over the years, but this is the first time bringing our three kids. We stayed in Villa La Paz, a 2 bedroom, which has ocean views from literally every room.

The living space and kitchen are under a huge palapa. The master bedroom has a king size bed and flat screen tv. We brought an Amazon Fire Stick with us, and the kids were able to watch Netflix, and Amazon shows with good AC when we wanted a break from the outdoors. It’s about midway up the resort, so there are some stairs, but other villas require a lot more.

There is a plunge pool with a view of Sayulita beach, and the other end of the villa has a beautiful view of the resort pool. The kids really enjoyed the main pool, which was nearby and a flight of stairs down. My friend and I took advantage of the free yoga a few times. We were the only ones who showed up over four days, and the teacher Tanis was excellent, asking what we wanted to work on each day, and then focusing on that and giving us mini submarine cozumel recommendations for a tour.

There are a few bugs and mosquitos, an occasional whiff of sewage smell, but that’s Mexico. I waited for the water to warm up in the shower a little longer at times, but most of the time didn’t care because I was coming back from doing something active and sweaty in the heat. There are Mexican raccoon-like animals that will look for food if you leave it outside at night, so we had to keep our snacks in our bedrooms, and our refrigerator latched shut.

The kitchen had everything we needed, even coffee grounds and unlimited filtered water. The oceanfront bar and restaurant downstairs are of excellent quality, but overpriced compared to most restaurants without a view in town.

We still think this is the best place to stay in Sayulita because of the beautiful tropical setting with gorgeous ocean views. It’s a short 5-minute walk to the central hub of shops and restaurants, but we still rented a golf cart for a few days because the kids LOVED riding around in it, and we could park it near the pool.

The best thing of all, no one got sick! Also, I would add that my youngest kid is four years old, and I felt safe with him in our villa. But I would not feel comfortable bringing a toddler here because of the open railing on the deck and the open plunge pool in our villa.
